As a student at Clemson University, I became involved with a movement of students called Cru that was greatly influential in me surrendering my whole life to Jesus. As a young student looking for direction and meaning in my life, it greatly impacted my relationship with God. Thanks to what God did in my life during those five years, it’s my desire to share the good news of Jesus Christ with college students who are also looking for fulfillment. They are often passionate about something; by God’s grace, let’s make it the gospel!

After graduation, I spent one year overseas serving with Cru where God taught me to depend solely upon His Spirit. When I returned and joined full-time staff, it was time for a change after growing up in South Carolina. I took a huge step of faith and moved to California! Being here allows me to take part in reaching college students who will be leading the country in culture, politics, etc. in the years to come.

It’s my desire to see every college student at Cal Poly awakened to the glory and supremacy of Jesus Christ in their lives. In order to do this, I must always remind myself of the good news of the gospel: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Blessings to you!  -Matt
